Dynasty Beetle

Scholars have long debated the origin of the Dynasty Beetle. The defining characteristic of this species of giant insect is its elytra – the hardened wing-cases common to most beetles – which is naturally embellished with stunning topaz gemstones and gold filigree. For years, these preternatural features were thought to be the result of an ancient mage enchantment. Recently, a respected naturalist proposed the theory that Dynasty Beetles subsist on minerals and metals native to the dunes and rocky canyons of the desert.
