Prickly Pollywog

Bright and bouncy, the prickly pollywog is oft a regular sight around Niküan communities. While not poisonous, the spikes and horns that dot this amphibian’s hide are certain to leave a mark. Over time, it has become something of an unofficial rite of passage among many Niküan children to provoke the barbed creature, laughter filling the air as the pollywog furiously hops after its aggressor. Some find the activity so much fun they choose to keep their spiky friends as pets - to the chagrin of their families.
